Welcome to my homepage. My name's Jan Woodhouse, and photography has been a big part of my life since the 1980s, when I fell in love with black and white and had my own very basic darkroom. Many of my photos - then and now - could be classified as 'street', but I'm also attracted by the bizarre, the transient and the picturesque.

Current projects include a series of images on the theme of TRANSIENCE AND TIME, and I'm continually adding to the category entitled OUT AND ABOUT. To view these, and other work, please go to the menu.
Although I connect most strongly with photography, from time to time, in the spirit of flexibility and curiosity, I experiment with paint, collage and other media, and I've been known to write stories and poems.
I've lived in Wolverhampton, London, Medway, and - since 2004 - North Norfolk.
